Studie CEPIS OPF Karviná

The proposed design of the Centre for Entrepreneurship, Professional and International Studies – OPF Karviná (CEPIS), is planned to be situated between University Park and University Square, adjacent to the existing building of the Faculty of Economics of the Silesian University. 

Our firm has been entrusted with conducting a volumetric study for the CEPIS centre, tailored to meet the specific spatial and area requirements set forth by the investor. 

This volumetric study offers an initial perspective on the integration of the building’s basic structure and volume into the selected site, considering the environment and various connections. The study involves exploring various options to identify a design that not only resonates with the investor but also meets regulatory approvals. It plays a pivotal role in selecting an appropriate plot of land and preliminarily evaluating the feasibility of the proposed construction investment. 

Throughout the course of this study, several key aspects were addressed: the building’s placement in relation to urban context, a schematic approach to integrating transport and technical infrastructure, network existence, and the schematic layout and volume of the building. 

Based on these findings, an initial estimate of construction costs was calculated, adhering to the current price indicators and construction standards of the Czech Republic. The preparation of the volumetric study also involved collaborative discussions with the construction investor and included engineering activities, such as consultations with relevant authorities and utility administrators.
